Yesterday at 1pm, Millwood Tanker 15 was requested to Ossining Fire Department with the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department FASTeam for a 10-75 (working fire) assignment. Due to the location of the structure, Buchanan Eng Co. and Hawthorne Fire Department gators were requested to the scene. Moments later, Millwood Engine 248 was also requested to the scene. Members arrived and assisted with extinguishing the structure fire and vehicle fire that then spread to become a brush fire. Over 2 miles of 5inch supply line was stretched to reach this fire, utilizing multiple relay engines along the stretch. Members also assisted Bedford Hills Fire Department, Sleepy Hollow Fire Department, and Briarcliff Manor Fire Department while Tarrytown Fire Department stood by in Ossining's headquarters. Units were back in service after about 3 and a half hours.
