On Saturday, seven Millwood members stood by for Sleepy Hollow FD - NY while they had their wiannual inspection. Soon after arriving in Sleepy Hollow, Millwood Car 2254 (Capt. Raguso) and Engine 248 took in an odor of gas call. Members noticed a strong odor on the sidewalk and began checking the basements of the surrounding residences with a gas meter to determine if the odor was isolated. Con Ed arrived and determined that the odor was isolated to one area of the sidewalk. Units cleared this call in 45 minutes.

While members were standing by in Sleepy Hollow, Millwood FD was dispatched to Pinesbridge Road with Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps for a reported vehicle into a utility pole. Members assisted with hazard mitigation while OVAC handled patient care. Units were back in service within 30 minutes.
