Yesterday evening, Millwood members gathered at Station 2 for our weekly drill. This week's topic was low-angle rescue. Members practiced basic low-angle rope rescue skills and patient packaging. At the end of drill, Ladder 52 and Ossining Fire Department Engine 97 were requested to stand by at Briarcliff Manor Fire Department headquarters while Briarcliff Manor FD, Archville Fire Department and Hawthorne Fire Department assisted numerous police agencies in searching for a missing person. Car 2251, 2252 and Ladder 52 responded to Briarcliff Manor FD headquarters. After a little more than an hour after relocating, the subject was found and Millwood units were placed back in service.
