Last Tuesday night, Millwood FD members traveled down to Valhalla to train at the Westchester County Fire Training Center. The focus of this week’s training was roof operations and forcible entry using numerous structures and training tools at the training center to simulate fireground scenarios. Led by Chiefs McCarthy and Santone, members practiced ground ladder placement, roof ladder skills, saw use, vertical ventilation on pitched roofs, and aerial ladder placement.

Aside from this training, Millwood FD also had members participating in NYS OFPC Courses for Firefighter 1 and Pump Operations at the County Training Center.
