At 3:35PM, the Millwood Fire Department responded to Saw Mill River Road for a reported structure fire called in by a neighbor. Upon arrival the tenant was trying to use a garden hose to extinguish the outside of the structure next to the chimney where discarded ashes from the fireplace had been placed earlier. One line was stretched and the structure was opened up to check for extension on the outside and TI Cameras were used on all 3 floors interior. Ossining FAST was on the box and was placed back in service once extension was confirmed negative. 1 Engine from Chappaqua, also on the box was redirected to Millwood Station 1 to stand by until all Millwood units were picking up.
