At approximately 11:30PM Friday 9/25 Millwood FD was dispatched to a structure fire off of 7 Bridges Road. One Engine from Chappaqua and Mt Kisco's FAST were also dispatched on the initial box due to the initial report of an active fire. A dry wood pile on the outside of the residence next to a char grill had ignited with extension into the structure. A difficult fire due to multiple renovations with many void spaces and no real access to the attic/crawl space area. The roof was vented and almost all 2nd floor ceilings had to be pulled to extinguish all fire completely. One Millwood FF was transported by CVAC for heat exhaustion. 2 Automatic alarms, 2 small brush fires and an MVA involving a propane truck and a small dump truck rounded out the busy 24 hour period.
