At approximately 6PM on Saturday October 24th Millwood FD, Ossining FD FAST, an Engine from Chappaqua FD and Battalion 17 were dispatched to Pheasant Run Condominiums on a report of a chimney fire. The fire had mostly self extinguished prior to our arrival but all areas of the residence were checked for extension and the roof was laddered and the top of the chimney structure was checked as well - all with negative results. The fire in the fire place was extinguished as a precaution, the structure was ventilated and the homeowner was advised not to use the fireplace until the chimney was checked and cleaned.
