At 1pm Monday, the Millwood Fire Company was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle fire on North State Rd. Car 2251 (Santone) arrived on scene moments later and confirmed the car fire and reported that it was close to a structure. Engine 247 arrived on scene and immediately stretched a hose line to begin extinguishing the fire. During this call, we were dispatched for smoke in the area on Route 100 in the vicinity of North State Rd. Car 2253 (Schwark) and Engine 248 investigated and concluded that it was residual smoke from the car fire. All units were back in service in one hour.
