At approximately 5:30 PM Wednesday evening Millwood Fire was requested to send 1 Engine with manpower to stand by at Somers Fire HQ in Lincolndale as Somers was operating at a large brush fire. Car 2251 ( Chief Santone ) and Engine 247 ( Lt . McCarthy ) responded and relocated at Somers FD HQ. After approximately 30 minutes both Millwood units were requested to respond to the scene. For the next 2 hours Millwood FF's worked with personnel from several Westchester and Putnam Departments to extinguish the large brush fire.
