Yesterday morning, in honor and respect for those who have served our country heroically and courageously, the Millwood Fire Co. #1 participated in our First Annual Memorial Day Service in front of the flagpoles at our new Station 1. Senior Member Neil Gollogly spoke a few words about the sacrifices the men and women of the military take. Each year, Neil decorates the local grave sites of former members in respect for their service. Following our ceremony, we traveled to Chappaqua for the annual Memorial Day Parade. Unfortunately, we were called away from the parade for a fire alarm.

We thank all members of the military for their service and honor the memories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
