This past Tuesday evening Millwood Firefighter training at the Millwood Training facility included Mask Confidence training as well as VES evolutions. Mask Confidence training included reduced profile procedures as well as removing the SCBA pack completely, keeping the mask in tact to allow the firefighter to pass through very tight spaces. VES training involved laddering a second floor window, entering the room while using SCBA, controlling the door to the room, searching the room for possible fire victims and exiting the room again using the window/ladder. Lieutenants Chris Raguso and Robert McCarthy took the lead in this training.
