Just after 11am, Millwood FD was dispatched to a residential alarm on Quaker Lane. Upon the arrival of Car 2251 (Chief Santone) it was determined that a tree on the property had taken a hit from a lightning strike, causing pieces of the tree to scatter over 50 feet in all directions. This lightning strike also set off the fire alarms and tripped multiple breakers in the residence. Ladder 52 arrived and members were instructed to investigate the residence with our thermal imaging camera and our gas meters. When no damage or further hazards were found, units were in service shortly thereafter.
