MILLWOOD COVERS MONTROSE VETERANS AFFAIRS FIRE DEPT WHILE THEY OPERATE AT A TWO ALARM FIRE

At 11:45 yesterday morning, Millwood FD was requested to cover the Montrose Veterans Affairs Fire Department headquarters with Engine 247 while they assisted Montrose Fire Dept at their 2nd alarm apartment building fire. Montrose members were met upon arrival with heavy fire conditions. Members from the Verplanck Fire Department, Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, Peekskill Volunteer Fire Department, Yorktown Heights Volunteer FD and Buchanan Eng Co. assisted with the extinguishing process. Ossining Fire Department relocated one ladder to Montrose headquarters and Briarcliff Manor Fire Department relocated one engine to Croton Station 2. Millwood members were released from the relocate after about 2.5 hours.
