After three weeks of thorough cleaning and preparation, Millwood FD held our annual Inspection Saturday evening. The evening began with a lineup and roll call of all of our members, which then transitioned into the annual dinner and awards. First, we would like to congratulate all of our yearly award winners:

2018 Most Alarms: Chiefs' Aid Greg Santone
2018 Most Drills: Firefighter Jon Doyle
2018 Rookies of the Year: Firefighters Rudy Gualtiere and Daniel Merker
2019 Most Clean-Up Hours: Firefighter Jon Doyle

After these awards were handed out, we honored Firefighter Jay McCarthy for his 40 years of dedicated service to the residents of Millwood.

Finally, outgoing Chief Jorge Rodrigues was honored with multiple plaques of appreciation for his many years of service as chief. This also led to the introduction of our new staff of firematic officers, led by Chief Jan Schwark.

We would like to thank Chief Rodrigues for his dedication and hard work as chief. We would also like to thank all who attended this great event and thank our officers and members for their continued service and dedication.
