Today we said a tearful goodbye to one of our oldest pieces of apparatus. "Old" Engine 247 left Millwood for the final time today to begin its second life with the Pomerene Volunteer Fire Department in Arizona. Delivered in 1998, Engine 247 was our first due engine out of Station 1 until the beginning of 2020 when it was replaced by new Engine 247. Over the years, it served the residents of Millwood and Westchester County to the fullest. We wish the Pomerene Fire Department the best with Engine 247!
