At 10:20 last night, Millwood FD and a FASTeam from Ossining FD were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Hidden Hollow Lane. An engine from Briarcliff Manor FD is also on this assignment, but because Car 2251 (Chief Raguso), Car 2253 (Chief McCarthy) and Engine 247 were on standby in Briarcliff for their ex-chief's dinner, they acted as the Briarcliff engine. An engine from Chappaqua FD was requested as well. Car 2251 arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from the garage. Upon further investigation, members found rags used to refinish a wooden table ignited in the garage, resulting in a small fire but a lot of smoke throughout the structure. All mutual aid was then returned and Millwood units ventilated the structure for 30 minutes before returning to service.
