This past Tuesday, Millwood FD members had the opportunity to practice water rescue skills on Stillwater Lake. This annual drill allows members to learn how to use some of our water rescue equipment, including our boats and throw ropes. Members were able to put their skills to the test with mock scenarios of people in the water needing assistance close to shore and in the middle of the lake where a boat was needed to access them. Due to the number of bodies of water in and around our district, these skills are invaluable in case of a true water emergency.
