Early Morning Car vs. Pole on Route 100

July 10, 2022

Just after 3:30 this morning, Millwood FD, Chappaqua VAC, and WEMS 45Medic1 were dispatched to a reported car vs. pole accident on Route 100. First arriving Chiefs and New Castle PD units confirmed the car into a pole with the patient already out of the vehicle. Rescue 36 and Engine 248 members assisted with hazard mitigation and patient care prior to the arrival of EMS. CVAC and 45M1 arrived on scene and transported the patient to the hospital for evaluation. Due to the accident, numerous homes and businesses in the area lost power. Units were back in service within an hour.
