Just before 2am Sunday morning, Millwood FD Engine 247 was requested to relocate to Ossining FD headquarters while they operating at a working dryer fire in their district with Croton-on-Hudson FD and Sleepy Hollow FD. Car 2252 (Chief Rodrigues) and Engine 247 were en route moments later. About 10 minutes after the initial dispatch, Ossining FD Command also requested Rescue 36 for the cascade unit to help fill air bottles on scene. Car 2251 (Chief Raguso) and Rescue 36 were able to respond to the scene within minutes of dispatch. The crew from Rescue 36 arrived on scene and helped fill bottles, as well as utilize our fan to help ventilate smoke throughout the 3-story structure. Meanwhile, Car 2252 and Engine 247 stoodby at Ossining FD HQ with Montrose FD Tower Ladder 8 to cover any additional calls Ossining may receive while on scene of the fire. All Millwood FD units were back in service within 2 hours.
