2022 was the busiest year since 2018 and the second busiest year in the past decade for Millwood FD, with 352 calls for service, including 85 mutual aid requests fulfilled throughout Westchester County. Members handled a total of over 3,600 hours of calls last year.
We handled many types of emergencies throughout the year: - Fire/CO Alarm Activations: 130 (37%) - Structure-Related Calls/Mutual Aid Fires: 70 (20%) - Rescue/EMS Calls: 66 (19%) - Service Calls: 36 (10%) - Hazardous Conditions: 29 (8%) - Good Intent Calls: 15 (4%) - Propane-Related Emergencies: 3 (1%) - Severe Weather Standbys: 3 (1%)
Millwood members trained for nearly 200 hours as a department, including numerous live fire training opportunities at the Westchester County Fire Training Center and New Haven Fire Training Academy.

All 3 of our Chiefs responded to over 50% of calls in 2022: - Chief Chris Raguso - 204 (58%) - 1st Assistant Chief Jorge Rodrigues - 320 (91%) - 2nd Assistant Chief Rob McCarthy - 185 (53%)
