For last night's weekly drill, Millwood FD members went to Station 2 to learn about fire behavior and deploying the trash line on Engine 247. The trash line is set-up on the front bumper of numerous of our apparatus and leveraged for quick deployment to smaller fires.

During the drill, Millwood was dispatched to Seven Bridges Road for reported smoke coming from an outlet with a FASTeam from Mt. Kisco FD and an engine from Chappaqua FD. Car 2252 (Chief Rodrigues), 2253 (Chief McCarthy), Engine 247, Engine 248, and Ladder 52 responded very quickly after dispatch. Car 2252 arrived on scene and determined there was no active fire, and returned all mutual aid to service. Millwood members checked the structure for hazards before returning to service within 30 minutes.
