At 1:45 yesterday afternoon, Millwood FD was dispatched to a reported car fire at the intersection of Allapartus Road and Route 134. Car 2251 (Chief Rodrigues) arrived first and confirmed the location of the fully involved vehicle IFO 255 Croton Dam Road. Engine 248 arrived on scene first due and members pulled a front bumper line to extinguish the fire. Meanwhile, Engine 247 members pulled and connected a dry 3" supply line to Engine 248 in case more water was needed, Mini-Attack 10 shut down Route 134 at Allapartus Road and Utility 44 closed the road at Grace Lane. Units returned to service after an hour.
