Just after 9am Thursday morning, Millwood FD was dispatched to a reported structure fire on the West Side of our district with automatic mutual aid from Croton-on-Hudson FD Tanker 10. Car 2251 (Chief Rodrigues) arrived on scene and confirmed a kitchen fire that was quickly extinguished by first due members on Tanker 15. Upon the arrival of the crews from Engine 248, Ladder 52, Rescue 36, and Croton FD Tanker 10, the structure was checked for extension and ventilated. While on scene, Chappaqua FD Engine 144 relocated to our headquarters to cover any additional calls in our district. Ossining VAC was also requested to the scene to evaluate the residents. All units were back in service within 90 minutes.
