Beginning on Friday at 1:20pm, Millwood FD's Marine 45 was requested to assist the Croton-on-Hudson FD with 2 civilians stuck in the mud off Croton Point. Car 2251 (Chief Rodrigues), 2252 (Chief McCarthy), Utility 145, and Marine 45 responded. While en-route, a Westchester County PD helicopter conducted 2 successful air rescues to remove the civilians from the mud and back onto land. Just after arrival, Millwood units returned to service. At 2:45pm on Friday, Millwood FD was dispatched to a reported brush fire in the median of the Taconic State Parkway northbound. A few moments after dispatch, Millwood FD received an additional call about a motor vehicle accident just south of the brush fire. Car 2251, 2252, Mini-Attack 10, and Engine 247 handled the brush fire while Car 2253 (Chief Santone) and Engine 248 responded to the car accident. All hazards were quickly mitigated and all units returned to service in under an hour.

At 10:45 Saturday morning, Millwood FD was dispatched to a reported water condition in a home on the east side. Car 2251, 2253, and Engine 247 responded to this incident and the issue was quickly mitigated.

At 10:30 Sunday morning, Millwood FD was dispatched to a reported fluid spill from a motor vehicle accident on Pinesbridge Road. Car 2251, 2252, 2253, Engine 247, Engine 248, and Rescue 36 responded. First arriving chiefs determined that no FD action was needed and returned Millwood units to service. Later that evening, Millwood FD was dispatched to a residential alarm. Car 2251, 2253, Engine 248, and Ladder 52 responded and investigated the home to determine that there were no hazards, quickly returning to service.

Finally, on Memorial Day morning, 25 Millwood FD members, along with Car 2251, 2252, 2253, Engine 247, Ladder 52, and Rescue 36 took to the streets of Chappaqua for the annual New Castle Memorial Day. This was a great opportunity to join our neighbors from the Chappaqua FD, Chappaqua VAC, and New Castle PD to honor those who sacrificed everything for our freedom.
