Rescue 36 Responds to Commercial Structure Fire in Elmsford

November 10, 2023

Just after 10pm on Thursday night, Millwood FD Rescue 36 was requested to respond to assist the Elmsford FD at a working commercial structure fire. Car 2253 (Chief Santone) and Rescue 36 quickly responded and arrived on scene to refill numerous SCBA bottles for members of Elmsford FD. and the Westchester County DES Haz-Mat Team. Rescue 36 also assisted with providing scene lighting from our light tower and portable lights for the Westchester County Haz-Mat Team as they removed multiple thermally-compromised lithium-ion batteries from the structure. After 3 hours, Millwood FD units were returned to service.
