| 2025 continued the trend of being the busiest year in your Millwood volunteers' history! Millwood FD responded to 421 incidents in 2025, including 68 mutual-aid requests across Westchester County. Members spent over 3,400 hours on calls in 2025.
Millwood FD handled a variety of different emergencies in 2025, including: - Alarm activations: 201 - 47.74% - Rescue/EMS: 80 - 19% - Fire: 47 - 11.16% - Good Intent: 37 - 8.79% - Service: 33 - 7.84% - Hazardous: 21 - 4.99% - Overpressure/Heat: 2 - 0.49%
Our top responders of 2025 were: - FF David Yun: 231 - Driver Training Instructor Jan Schwark: 229 - 2nd Lt. Choire Sicha: 184 - 1st Lt. Tom Harris: 174 - FF Bob Seltzer: 146
All 3 of our Chiefs were also top responders in 2025: - Chief Jorge Rodrigues: 390 - 1st Assistant Chief Rob McCarthy: 201 - 2nd Assistant Chief Greg Santone: 414
In 2025, members spent over 2,600 hours training, including: - 4 of our officers completed the updated Fire Officer classes offered at the Westchester County Fire Training Center, up to Fire Officer 3 - Members completed EMR, EMT, paramedic recertifications - Numerous training opportunities at the New Haven Fire Training Center with Signal 73 Training - Members participated in heavy extrication training in Chappaqua - Millwood FD hosted a Westchester County-led Rescue Tech Basic course, with 10 of our own members participating

Millwood FD members also participated in over 1,400 hours of community events, including New Castle Community Day, multiple Touch-a-Truck events, fire prevention events, and more.
Throughout 2025, Millwood FD participated in numerous parades, including the New Castle Memorial Day Parade, and won trophies at parades in Pleasantville, Yorktown Heights, Ossining, and Mt. Kisco.
Millwood FD also lost a beloved member of our department, Ex-Chief Neil Gollogly. Neil’s infectious smile is missed every day.
