For our first weekly Tuesday night drill of 2026, Millwood FD was joined by members from Ossining FD and Briarcliff Manor FD at Station 1 for a presentation on electric vehicle fires from Signal 73 Fire Training. The presentation covered the hazards associated with EVs, vehicle and battery construction, and tactics for handling incidents involving hybrid and fully electric vehicles. With the increase of electric vehicles on our roads, this training is crucial to ensure our responders are prepared to handle these unique incidents.
